Used to be a such a cool little bar to get excellent cocktails and small plates... Then they switched over to full to restaurant. Now it's just overpriced and not a fan of how patrons are being treated.

Owner is rude. She is stuck up, rude to customers. This place deserves absolutely no business. There’s a ton of other bars in the area with owners that are so nice to all guests. Owner is entitled and should not be in the service industry.

We live out of town but Tina's makes me wish we lived in Pittsburgh. The relaxed, cozy atmosphere is perfect for talking and enjoying an intimate night out. Food and cocktails were well-crafted and delicious. Welcoming and thoughtful service enhanced the entire experience. Be sure to make a reservation because this is a place you don't want to miss!

Last night was our first time at Tina’s. The food was really innovative and delicious and we enjoyed the tasting menu. The cocktails were also delicious. Unfortunately, we too had issues with the services.
From the jump it felt like we were a burden to our server. Small things like reaching out to grab my drink from her and being told no, you need to move dishes on the table so she can set it down… okay weird and uncomfortable but whatever. Later on I had asked for a box for my entrees and was told “*I’LL* box that up for you.” Normally something in service that I would appreciate, but the demeanor surrounding it just made us feel slightly belittled or again, like we were a burden.
We finish dessert and are asked if we’d like another round of drinks, we politely decline and are then told “okay here is your bill the next reservation for your table is set for 10 minutes from now”. It was kind of jarring so we settled up and left. Kind of shell shocked by the experience it wasn’t until we were already en route home that I realized I never received my leftovers. =( The pesto gnocchi was incredible and I didn’t even have a chance to try the other dish so I was really looking forward to them both.
When we first arrived, looking at the menu I was excited to bring family from out of town that will be visiting soon, but after this experience we probably won’t go back. Definitely a shame because the food was great, but not worth the discomfort, that after reading other reviews, was not a one off.

I’m so torn with my review. If I was just reviewing the cocktails it probably would have been 5 stars for the balance of traditional and low abv options and friendly service.
However, last visit, I did the 6 course tasting menu. And while I do enjoy my food generously seasoned, and one dish did have salted cucumber, my whole table agreed that everything was over salted - even the dessert. When I also think about the progression of the menu it was overly acidic, and I paid the price with an upset stomach.
I’m hoping this is a one off because the cocktail side of Tina’s is amazing, and it’s nice to have good food options at a bar.
I would be open to trying their food again, but only ala carte.

Tina's was easily a 5 star bar. I was always willing to wait a while at another bar so I could come in, grab a drink, and enjoy a little tinned fish and bread.
As a restaurant, though, they miss the mark. The food is egregiously overpriced and good at best. Also, during dinner hours, tinned fish isn't available. I'm not sure why that is. It isn't my business but if you have a customer trying to pay for a can of something that you just have to open up to serve to them, I don't see why you don't do this.

This use to be a great bar. Last night we had a reservation for 8:30 and by 10:20 the hostess informed us we had to leave because another party was scheduled to take our table. You’re just a number and a dollar amount to these people
Edit: just because it’s Tina’s policy to cap your stay to two hours doesn’t make it right. It’s anti-consumerist, nothing respectful about it.

I have given Tina's multiple goes, as I wanted to love them so bad. Drinks are great and creative. Unfortunately, I have had multiple bad experiences with service here.
The first one was just an overall miscommunication. My girlfriends and I had never been there, and we noticed they had seats available outside. We had no idea it was a reservation system place and thought it was a traditional place orders at the bar vibe. Totally our bad. Hostess checked in with us and we apologized and got up to leave. She said no worries, brought us water, and told us we were welcome to stay. Only AFTER we received our first drink order did she inform us the next reservation was 15 minutes away. Never mentioned this prior to ordering, leaving us to chug and pay. The whole thing just felt weird, especially when we had apologized and offered to leave. I chalked it up to a miscommunication and gave them another go.
At least twice, with only 2 other people in my party, service was slow and the waitress seemed like she couldn't be bothered to grab our next drink or the check. We typically had to flag someone down. Tina's is by no means a cheap dive and the service doesn't match the price point at all.

pros: the focaccia is very good. the cheese options are delicious. and i have yet to have a bad drink from them. the atmosphere is great.
cons: the service and overall management leave much to be desired. the hostess is curt and rude. ive been several times, and she’s very consistent. every time ive gone, we were abandoned by our waiter/waitress, and then suddenly brought the check because the next reservation had arrived (leading to us chugging our drinks). also, not a great place for groups.
honestly? i’m going to try to spend my money on cocktails at places that make me feel more welcome. i really love the drinks at tina’s but the interactions make it not worth it.
EDIT: the owner had a crazy inappropriate response to my review and others here. i didn’t rate them very low (3/5). it’s a shame to see the owner dragging her own business down. i wish them all the best, but i will not be revisiting tina’s in the future. it’s too bad, i really liked their drinks.

We have long loved Tina's, but now that they have a full course dinner option, it has truly become one of the premier spots in the burgh for a night out.
It was our last night in Pittsburgh before moving to another city and our server Ben provided us with a guided experience through our dinner and drinks. He was so incredibly knowledgeable and kind throughout the evening, including a surprise amaro related to where we were moving, that I nearly broke down.
Hard to imagine a better dinner and drinks experience. Please give this place a go if you get the chance.

Best cocktails I’ve found so far in Pittsburgh. Bartenders on each visit have been terrific. Friendly & hard working.
Tina’s was suggested by a great sommelier I know, as the best cocktail bar she visited while exploring Pittsburgh.
Look forward to visiting again.

Service is super rude; they’re in my neighborhood so I always want to support them but I learn my lesson every six months or so.
Edit: The correct ownership response was "I'm so sorry that you had a negative experience at my business, please try us again and we will make it up to you."
Any other response shows an issue with ownership, and it makes sense now why my fellow industry workers always told me not to go to Tina's.
We expect to be treated better and we never get it at Tina's. Bye Felicia.

Great food and cocktails, but the service experience left something to be desired. Came as a large party, which we recognize comes with challenges, but we were treated like a burden and children. Pedantic attitude. Pretty disappointed, the food and concept made this a destination we were excited to visit, but probably will patronize other places moving forward.

Great place for zero alcohol drinks-whether you ordered one or not! So hence the 1 star. Great service, cool joint all around but for the cash you end up paying you expect to at least get a buzz of 3 drinks-good luck with that. I brought this issue up to management before leaving this review but was left with a very well worded shoulder shrug, even when i told them i watched the bartender not fill the jigger all the way. You would think they'd correct the situation by making the drink as its supposed to be like any other bar on the planet but o no. So here we are, a 1 star review because the bars drinks are 0.0 no matter what. Its a real shame to because the place has potential.

I enjoy the idea and the look of this place but in reality the environment is not welcoming. The average person is not going to receive great service here unless they deem you “worthy.” The hostess/owner in particular can be straight up mean. Avoid interacting with her if you can.
If the drinks were stronger, more memorable, or at least cheaper, I might find the experience worthwhile. But they have never been as impressive as they seem to think they are. I always walk away with the feeling I’ve wasted my time and money and somehow inconvenienced the staff by being there.

The bartenders are always incredible. They are quick, knowledgeable, and very easy to chat with if you’re lucky to get a seat at the bar. The drink menu is great as well, and there’s no bad choices. As someone who views cocktails as art and is usually disappointed by drinks out, this place wildly exceeded my expectations. The menu was very fun, the spirits used were great, and the specs were phenomenal. These were world class drinks.
The ambiance and food were both great enhancements. And the prices were extremely reasonable (some drinks actually seemed underpriced). I had the Kingston Negroni, Coffey Park Swizzle, and my wife had a French 75.

Tina's was a really cool place. I loved the variety of cocktails and that they had information about when and where the cocktail originated. There were some excellent cocktails that I had never heard of before and was so pleased to be able to try. I would say this place is somewhere to go if you want a truly amazing drink with care put into it. I ordered both the Milk Punch and the Moon Martini. I recommend both. We ordered some things to eat as well. Great cheese options and the bread was delicious. Cool decor with a beautiful mural behind the bar.

A rare find. A really cool neighborhood bar. I loved their menu of imported fish conservas. High-quality and delicious. Had a couple of these and a beer. Will eat through that list. Enjoyed my conversation with the bartender. People rave about the cocktails. Next time. The place looks great: cozy and welcoming. An interesting selection of wine and books in the back. Doesn’t look like much from the outside and parking can be challenging but definitely worth it. So many bars and restaurants are cookie-cutter. This place is an original.

We first visited Tina’s ~4 years ago, and were shocked at the low prices for craft cocktails. When we moved to Pittsburgh and saw they were still open, we had to visit again. Very happy to see the same low prices (sure a bit higher, but way cheaper than any other craft cocktail bar).
Basically, Tina’s has become my go-to neighborhood bar. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Always super friendly and the drinks are superb. These would easily be >$20 each if this was NYC or LA. You’re missing out if you don’t try it.

It's always so wonderful here. The servers are great the atmosphere is great the drinks and cheese are amazing every time.
The only thing that makes me a bit sad is that they used to have games which made it my favorite place to go out to.
I assume they got rid of them because it was a lot to go around and find all of the miscellaneous pieces that people would leave around at the end of a long night so I get it. So I get it but I'm still a bit deflated every time I look at the shelf that used to have all of the games.

I wish I had higher praise for this bar, because I had heard good things from others before coming. Our experience was marred by a few factors. First was a panhandler right outside the door-I'm sympathetic to the unhomed, but it wasn't an appropriate time or place and the staff did nothing about it during the duration of our visit. Next, the bar's acoustics were off- the music cut out partway through our time there and never came back on, which really sucked some of the wind out of the atmosphere of sitting at the bar. With only loud conversation surrounding us, it felt closer to sitting at a cafeteria. Finally, it took a decent bit to get served by our bartenders, but at least my drink was interesting. I forget exactly what it was, but I think it was some smoked cocktail that at least had a visually appealing element in its preparation if not particularly the taste. I'd like to give the place a second chance but I'm not particularly in a hurry to come back.

Really cool little bar in Bloomfield, nice selection of beer and mixed drinks. The most interesting thing for me is the menu of canned fish, I just had myself the salmon and smoked sardines for the first time ever and it was delicious. The decor feels like your grandpa's basement but in a most excellent way.

My daughter was having surgery to correct hip dysplasia, I snuck out on one of my "breaks" to find a nice bottle for my wife. I sampled two red Pinos and left with one. Awesome place.

Small, chill cocktail bar with shocking prices. Meaning, I can't believe you can still find cocktails anywhere, much less in the heart of a city, for $10 or under. And they're delicious.

It's a vibe. Laid back, craft cocktails, and canned fish. Some excellent bartenders too. No tv's. I'd consider it a dive

The only cocktail bar in Pittsburgh that delivers a proper classic cocktail without all of the unnecessary pretension. We love this spot! Check out their variety of Negronis classic flips.
