My fiancΓ© and I came here on a whim last night and so glad we did! The food was excellent and I swear Kim makes the best macarons I have ever tasted in my life! Peter up front was so friendly and gave great service! We can easily see why theyβre so popular!

Absolutely loved this Thai spot! Everything we tried was packed with flavor and the portions were generous.
The beef drunken noodles were the standout, perfectly cooked noodles with tender beef, bold spice, and that classic smoky wok flavor. The chicken curry puffs were crispy on the outside with a warm, savory filling.
The chicken satay was juicy and well-marinated, served with a rich, creamy peanut sauce that tied it all together beautifully.
For rice lovers, the basil shrimp fried rice was incredibly fragrant, with fresh basil and plump shrimp in every bite.
To drink, the passion fruit tea was refreshing and not overly sweet, prefect for the summer!
And please donβt skip dessert! The tiramisu was rich, creamy, but not too heavy and sweet! The homemade macaroons were amazing too! With a light, chewy, and such a sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Great flavors, great variety, and definitely a place Iβd come back to!
Ohh, if youβre planning to dine in, try to go a little bit early like around 5pm. It gets busy and itβs a small restaurant with limited seating.

The shrimp pad Thai was really delicious. We also enjoyed the chicken satay as well. Service was good and the person on the phone was quite nice. The tom yum soup was okay. The Penang curry was decent but we would probably try a different curry next time.

Wanted to gatekeep this spot heheβ¦ but they deserve their FLOWERS. Holy basil. A lowkey spot, I got the seafood basil and Thai fish cakes. Them fish cakes were something special . A deluctant springy texture and bold flavor, adding that red curry paste made everything remarkably unforgettablez The basil itself you can tell they took their time in this dish! To pound the garlic and chiles is vital to get the freshest and brightest flavors in a typical basil dish. Iβm a sucker for a pleasant aroma that releases maximum flavor that essentially makes with a sweet tangy balance and gingery basil sauce, and seafood blends that felt as though I was in Bangkok. Highly recommend if you need something outside of the city! No flashy decor, no long waits for hype that carries depth balanced, layered flavors, and unmistakable authenticity you canβt fake.

This disgusting restaurant should understand that our Money doesnβt come for free to waste on them. The reviews are fake. Please be careful. I bought the food and felt its scam, it tastes weird and seems like someone elseβs leftover food was in the box. Not just that, i found a hair also. Please dont eat kind of oily rotten food as its unhealthy for you, your children and family.i threw this in trash. The lady at customer service she didnβt even say sorry when i shared this with her.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THAI FOOD AROUND! Seriously, the food is fantastic. So flavorful. And the portion size is ginormous! Full of flavor! For less than $17, I now have delicious leftovers to look forward to tomorrow. I got the drunken noodles and my wife got the basil lover.

This is the best Thai food in the area, hands down. The people that run this place have high standards and are incredibly hard-working.
Not only is the food delicious, they always get our orders right. They give you extremely generous portions, so we always have tons of leftovers.
Heads up that eat-in service appears to be on hiatus, but we always order takeout anyway.

I came here with a couple of friends, and we were all blown away by how flavorful everything was. The seasoning on each dish was spot-on, and as someone who loves spicy food, I really appreciated how well they incorporated heat without overpowering the flavors. Both the drunken noodles and the thai fried rice had generous portions, perfectly spiced, packed with fresh vegetables, and bursting with that signature wok flavor. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but that only added to its charm, it felt cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy good food and conversation with friends.

The Yum Nua (Thai beef salad) and Drunken Noodles are absolutely delicious. Portions are large with fresh ingredients. These dishes are exploding with flavor. If you like spicy, level 3 will release your endorphins. Easy to order over the phone and prices are fair. This restaurant shares a parking lot with Rita's Water Ice.

I love the Shrimp Basil Fried rice. Itβs a little bit expensive but well worth the cost! They go off a 1 to 5 spicy scale. Expect it to be spicier than expected though. I got a 2/5 and it was an enjoyable level.

This is NOT Thai food. It's some sort of Americanized recipes that somewhat taste like Thai dishes.
Example:
1) Larb (arguably the most simple Thai dish) has tomatoes in it (!) and is served as a salad, no cabbage or lettuce leaves to eat it with, and the taste is notably un-larb-like. It's a travesty to even call it Larb.
2) They don't even know what panang curry is.
3) Drunken noodles were pathetically dry and bland.
I could go on and on about their so-called Thai food, but why? I prefer authentic Thai food at Thai restaurants. Skip this place and drive a few miles to GreenHerb or Thai Spice.

It makes me sad to write a negative review of one of my favorite Thai restaurants. I have loved their food since they opened, which I believe was in 2018. Their noodles are far superior to others, so I brought many friends over. I have very specific tastes in pad thai, and theirs is the best I have had so far. Today's noodles were not the same as before. Drunken noodlesβs shrimp were brunt, medium spicy was tooooo spicy, veggies they used frozen one so no taste and soggy. Pad Thai was overly sweet and sour, not of Thai restaurant quality, and tasted like a frozen meal..
I was saddened and wondered if anything had changed or if they had a new chef. I called and informed them that the food was not the same, but the person who answered was not pleasant either. She stated that nothing has changed and there have been no complaints so far.
Anyway, I do not think I will go back anymore. It was waste of my time and food today. So sad.

Love the freshness and price of the side of steamed vegetables and rice. Love how they package my food. Love the spiciness of the sauce for the veggies spring rolls. My only issues is the sauce was two sweet and not enough veggies in the spring rolls. I wish we had a restaurant like this back home. Mom and pop local Thai restaurant with some of the best Asian cuisine in Delco!
This hidden gem makes Thai favorites like Tom Yum soup, Beef Larb Gai (a flavorful salad with lemongrass and basil), Pad Thai and drunken noodles that will drive your taste buds wild and keep you coming back for more! Each dish can have its spice level adjusted to suit your tastes. (I tend to oscillate between medium and high spice depending on my mood and if I'm sharing with my wife; be advised that medium still packs quite a punch and high will be too spicy for most to enjoy.)
I highly recommend the lunch special, which offers you an appetizer of choice (fried tofu or chicken egg rolls) , a small soup, a noodle entree, and a drink for a low price. Your soups and entrees can add shrimp and beef for a small surcharge. All of my dishes were hot, fresh, and delicious with lots of flavor!
There are also house-made desserts like macarons available as well! Be advised that as of May 2024 they now assess a 3% surcharge if you pay with a credit or debit card.
Check this place out if you're local to the Havertown/Broomall area or find yourself passing through!

Overall, we were unimpressed and given what we paid, very disappointed. We had the steamed dumplings, vegetable curry puffs, and vegetable spring rolls for appetizers. For the main coarse, we had the seafood basil stir-fry. In that order the dumplings were ok but basically pork, peanuts and fish sauce in a liquidly dissolving wrapper that certainly did not resemble any dumpling we had ever encountered or ever what to encounter again. The curry puffs were a surprise because we thought they would have a Thai influence curry flavor but tasted more like what one would expect at any Indian take-out restaurant. As for the spring rolls I have never had a spring roll I didn't like - until now! The wraps themselves had a surprisingly "doughy" flavor and the rather bland filing did little to salvage the experience. As for the seafood stir-fry, the sauce was perfect! Great flavor at a heat level we ordered at medium spicy. Absolutely no complaints there. But the few shrimp they gave us were stiff and chewy, the mussel consistency was borderline inedible and the calamari (indistinguishable from the vegetables) not much better. As for the stir-fry vegetables themselves some were cooked crisp-tender, which was great, but others (carrots for instance) were ridiculously hard and not balanced with the rest of the vegetables. We are new to the area and chose this restaurant based on reviews. We love Thai food! Just not so much here.

I have been to this restaurant countless times, and I adore it. The menu is very unique in the way they divide it by region. The food is always so fresh and high quality. We go there regularly for take out. The food is excellent, but the service is spotty. Tonight was the last straw. I always order the same thing: panang curry. The wait was 40 minutes. They made red curry by mistake. When I told them it was wrong, the front guy seemed ticked and told me they now had an hour of orders ahead of mine. I told him mine should be made next because THEY screwed up. The owner came out and said it would be 30 minutes, but that is ridiculous. Plus she seemed put out.

Sugar and Spice went a bit above and beyond and for that will get an update and an upgraded star rating! The store reached out an informed me that ordering through the store directly is usually a bit cheaper than using a commercial ordering app (ie. GrubHub), so definitely do that. I was also told they do have a lunch special, and a special it is indeed! It costs about the same as a normal dinner dish price (~$12-13), but it comes with a soup, appetizer, an entree, and a drink! THIS IS SO WORTH IT! The portion for the entree is pretty much the same as the dinner-size as well (I got the Drunken Noodles again, so I was able to compare). The Tom Yum was really good, and the Drunken Noodles this time definitely had enough basil this time and a better kick to it. I would still recommend this for Thai food if you're from around here. Finally, there were utensils in my bag this time, so they also improved on that. Good job!

Great food with really large portions. The place itself is tiny, so just a couple of tables inside. Everything we ordered tasted great and the staff was very warm and welcoming.

Do you remember the first time you had Thai food and it was a revelation? It really hasnβt been that way in a while has it? Until now. My wife and I have been eating Thai food for 25 years and this is by far the most flavorful amazing Thai food weβve ever had. Frankly it was a bit disorienting. We didnβt know where we were. This couldnβt be Havertown. Maybe it was another universe. We canβt even imagine how they made this food this good. Get the picture?Oh and this was takeout β crazy good.!

It is a hobby of mine to try different restaurants and review them. And I must say that I'm so happy I found SUGAR AND SPICE!!....Sugar and Spice Thai is the best thai food I have had in the Greater Philadelphia area. I have tried multiple dishes including the korean wings, chicken drunken noodle, chicken basil rice, and pineapple fried rice. All delicious. What makes the food excellent is the flavor-its the perfect combination of SUGAR & SPICE literally. I travel over 30 minutes to visit this place --but its worth it! You won't be disappointed with this fine establishment.

Had always passed this place but never tried it, and thought I would give it a try. Absolutely loved the food. I ordered a beef drunken noodle TO-GO (as spicy as possible) and it was really good. Generous portions, decent price, and the front of house staff were very nice and accommodating. Definitely going back in the future to try some of their other options.
TL;DR - go in and eat some good Thai food!

Get the drunken noodles...beef; pork; it doesn't matter. Those curry chicken puffs are ridiculous, but you'll need extra sauce. And their extra spicy is the real deal! Thanks for turning on the heat, guys!

Incredible Pad Thai and amazing curry dishes. Large portions at a very fair and honest price. Friendly and courteous staff who care about their customers. Easy access parking lot next to Pep Boys. I found Sugar & Spice after having a terrible experience at the awful Thai place on E. Eagle Road in Havertown who's name should be erased from memory!

So we just moved to the area and my wife hag pad Thai for the first time recently and loved it. We looked up Thai spots and this one did not disappoint. The service was excellent at this small tucked away spot. If you include the outdoor dining, which is where we sat, they have 12 seats. It's primarily a take out but the dining experience was 2nd to none. My wife got the pad Thai which she says is amazing and she had more 5han enough for 3 meals. I had the Tom Yum soup with shrimp hot, which was incredible. The level of spice had my nose slightly running but didn't steal from the rich broth and perfectly tender crisp veggies. My entree was green chicken curry. So wonderful, full of veggies and chicken. Great spice and hints of peanut and the same nice spicy heat. You can order the spiciness to your liking and I was very happy. I washed everything down with a Thai tea, which was similar to a smoked chai tea. Incredible. We left after tip with 3 amazing and cute macaroons for less than $50 after tip. The portions were so big we took home 2 meals. This is for sure our go-to Thai spot.

Absolutely delicious cuisine, reminded me of when I lived in Chiang Mai. I came here with a friend, and we started with the chicken satay and tom yum soup. Then we tried the drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and seafood basil. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the ingredients were fresh. My only hope is that they add mango sticky rice to their dessert options.

This new small Thai spot is defintly worth the try! Love the interior and service! They're located next to Rita's. Their Lunch Specials are amazing! You get an option of soup, appetizer AND entree for $12.95. They are kid-friendly and extremely nice. The star of the menu so far are their soups such as, Tom Yum and Veggie Soup. It had so much flavor!!! I can't wait to go back and try their Tom Ka.
