Pizza has been hard, dry, and just borderline awful the last two times Iβve been. Workers are more concerned with socializing than working and providing good customer service. They also happen to be extremely over priced for the quality of food they offer. Workers will have you waiting a long time to get your food while they take other orders causing a cluster of confused customers. Beyond unorganized. DO BETTER!

if you're in the mood for pizza in Center City, I would definitely recommend this place. It is definitely a little bit on the Pricer
side but they give you nice size pizza slices where you really only need one to two slices of pizza to fill you up. The atmosphere is OK I usually get pepperoni and sausage.

Great spot for a slice out whole pie. I had a tomato one mushroom and one birria pie slice. I would skip the birria one and go for spring else, but the other two were great. Daughter had two pepperoni slices and loved them. It was about 30 bucks for 5 slices and drinks. I love the food and the service was great. This was recommended by the staffs at the Hyatt as a great place to grab lunch.

Im in Philadelphia for work. Stopped here for lunch and amazing doesn't even begin to describe how good the pizza is!!! The bbq chicken pizza is the best I've eaten!! The cheesesteak pizza tastes exactly like a sub! Soo delicious!! 100% recommend if you are ever visiting center city!! Delicious. Ill come back jist for the pizza!! The gentleman running the register was so friendly and patient. My friend and I arent from this area and they helped answer questions we had about the pizza and were friendly to every customer that walked through the door. I placed a big order of 12 large pizzas for my birthday and came to pick it up a little late past closing time, but the staff was so kind and understanding about it. My favorite slice in the city. You have to eat it fresh out the oven, dont walk out with it. Super super crispy bite, and the buffalo chicken slice is the bomb. The only shortcoming is mo no flavor in the dough, but this isnt a Joes-specific thing but rather an issue with NY style pizza as a whole

Servers are as pleasant as always. Plenty of seating & itβs clean. But the pizza isnβt the same. The cheesesteak slice had a thick, unmelted layer of some kind of cheese. Tiny bits of steak. Not the same thin, crispy crust as before. Must be different owners. Or if the same the recipes arenβt being passed down. One slice was $5.50. In this economy, paying for food is a luxury. Hate to give a negative review. Finally went in after years of walking by. I don't see what people like about this place, besides fast and friendly service. The pizza is very meh: lacks flavor in the sauce and the crust/dough is very basic too. I got two slices and it cost about $12! Two other options I would recommend: I get amazing pizza for less at Pizzeria Salvy, especially with their after-1pm prices. And for a similar ambiance to Joes, go to Giovanni's just a block away for bigger menu and slightly more flavorful pizza slices.

We just had the BEST time at Joe's! I called and asked if they had room for a large party of about 20... they said yes. Asked if we could bring in a birthday cake, they said yes. No additional charge or booking, just pure old fashioned hospitality. We ordered quite a bit of food and drinks and left a nice tip for accommodating us. Will definitely be back! Thanks again Joe's. I still think Pauli Geeβs has the best slices in philly but Joeβs offer the variety and hospitality. My favorite slice is their sausage onion and peppers but their eggplant parm pizza is WIDELY slept on. I personally wish they would use a little more seasoning on their dough, thereβs something slightly missing in flavor but the texture, quantity is all there.

I think every time joes pizza comes up in conversation my heart skips a beat, words cannot describe how perfect every part of the establishment is. The employees are always kind, and if there isnβt a line, will start a conversation. The store itself has an immaculate vibe, it is simply put awesome. Every time I step inside I feel as though I have been transported out of Philadelphia and into a local small town pizza restaurant, the art on the walls are always fun to look at, and every time I go in there is something good on TV, typically whatever sports game is live, but it never fails to disappoint. But, donβt even get me started on the actual pizza itself, I can say that joeβs pizza is easily the best pizza I have ever had, and I would put it up for best pizza in the world. The dough is crispy on the outside, which holds up the corners when you pick it up, but on the inside it is bursting with flavor. The sauce to cheese to dough ratio is truly a perfect science. The sauce is a absolutely perfect, if they told me that it was made from a fresh tomato minutes before I consumed it, I wouldnβt even be surprised. The cheese is absolutely magical, it stretches out with every bite, and yet isnβt overwhelming. But the main reason why it works so good is because it of how well they work together, the ingredients to Joes pizza is comparable to, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant. I love joeβs pizza, and as long as I am alive, they will have at least one supporter. If i could I would have my wedding there. Thank you Joeβs pizza!

Great place, easy to walk to from the downtown hotels and another easy walk after dinner to Chestnut / 17th street for more shopping.
The team greeted me with a smile and some great hospitality. I asked where to go for ice cream and they had 2 great recommendations, but the passion in their voice led me to Gran Caffe L'Aquila. Joe's Pizza says that they have world-class italian gelato. So, that's where we went!

Always liked Joe's. Been eating there for forever. Crust is always crispy and has that smoky charred taste and smell to it. Not lumpy or greasy at all (for most of the options). They also have drink options other than regular soda (try the Italian lemonade soda, delicious). The slice has NO flop

I was doing some due diligence in Center City this afternoon with my 12 y/o son reluctantly in tow π© Lol. He told me he wanted to grab some pizza from somewhereβ¦..So, I go online for pizza near my location and Joeβs Pizza showed up with 4.4 Stars. I read the reviews and I said, βSon, I think I found us a good one!β Both of us enjoy pizza so much! In fact, when I was pregnant with him and I would eat pizzaβ¦..he would do flips in my belly! No joke! ππ Anyway, we got there and the two guys working behind the counter were so pleasant and attentive. My son got two plain slices and I got one. I must say, the crust was PERFECT, the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect, and they have all the stuff you need to shake on a plain slice right there next to the napkins. You know, garlic, oregano, and red pepper seeds.
The pizza was fantastic π£
