Today I came for the very first time to this location on Wilson Ave. walked in and there was no line barely a person in sight. I’m excited to order. This was around 1:30-1-45pm

Three employees just chatting in a circle at the kitchen entrance. With absolutely nothing to do. Looking back at me several times but not saying a word. It’s common curtesy or common sense to greet the customer that is walking in or standing at the register waiting to be assisted. There is no reason why I couldn’t be greeted by one of those employees. The one young man says are you ready to order? She can take your order down here. Ok walked down still did not get a hello how can we help. Just a what can I get you with a slight smirk?
I got my order checked out and left.
There is clearly a lack of training ,manners and customer service on all three employees making a very unpleasant experience resulting in a customer not feeling welcomed there. The young lady that initially took my order went to the back got her phone and came back to the front and started texting like nothing. Showing a lack of professionalism while working. She could easily step to the back of the sales floor to answer her message or call if it was an emergency.
I will not be returning. It’s on Cammera for Management to see.

Workers are too in a hurry to get all the orders done and do not pay attention to what the customer orders. Ordered a 17 but they made a number 7 instead easy mistake. However the young lady with the jet black hair was practically shoving her coworkers aside rather than asking them for help to try and get an online order done. I get it speed matters but so does customer service. Workers also seemed distracted by their significant other being there during their working hours as well.

I’ll start with the positive. I came in with a group of five, and the employees did a great job making our sandwiches efficiently, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, I had a food safety concern with my sandwich. While my bread was being cut, I noticed the sandwich maker drag my sliced bread through chunks of tuna. I immediately pointed it out, and she wiped the area and sliced a new roll, which I appreciated.

However, when I later opened my sandwich to eat it, I found tuna on it again — this time at the very top where the sandwich had been sliced in half. That means the contamination occurred at the end of the process, despite already addressing it earlier. When you’re not ordering a tuna sandwich, this is not something you expect or want to find.

I’m sharing this feedback because if I were the owner or manager, I would want to know about a cross-contamination issue like this. If I lived in the area, I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning due to concerns about food handling and cross-contamination.

An unfortunately disappointing location. I love Jersey Mikes and was excited to have a location closer to me. I have given this location about 4-5 visits and unfortunately have found it lacking. The staff doesn't seem very competent or friendly. On one occasion, they kept me waiting quite a while for one sub while they focused on joking and conversing amongst themselves. The food is generally ok, but last time I visited the lettuce was very brown and they had a hard time finding condiments that were filled despite it not being busy.

This location should really take some notes from whoever is running the York store on Springwood Rd. They have it together over there -- service, quality, and cleanliness are always top notch. I'd rather drive the extra time there if my schedule allows.

Sub was great.
The " kids" working need more supervision. My husband waited 1/2 hr to get his sub. Come to find out, the girls working the grill, gave his sub to their friend that came in 25 minutes after us.
This is completely unacceptable!!

I am very disappointed with them. I am Gluten free (and not by choice) they advertise they are happy to serve gluten free subs. I went to the Hanover PA location on Sat evening at 5:30 and went to order a sub and guess what they are out of gluten free bread. You know if it was 30 min before closing I might understand but dinner time on a sat. I bet they don’t run out of normal bread. Surely they can manage better than that, but obviously not. So they just lost a possible customer who is looking for good gluten free alternatives. They are not one.

I had a gift card that I had received for my birthday so I used it today. I don't understand some of these bad reviews. I was greeted as I walked in and was waited on right away. Subs are made fresh as you order and meat and cheese are sliced up as you order. I got ham/ cheese and a turkey / cheese sub. They put on whatever you want. I thought the service and food were excellent. I would not hesitate to try again.i also got a brownie. Soft, fresh and soft with chocolate chips on top. Yummy😊

Service here is never good. I have never had an online order I placed here actually be ready on time. Typically my order is ready more than fifteen minutes after the quoted pickup time. They need to either adjust the time windows they give for pickup orders or find a way to be better staffed, because this is an issue every single time.

Ordered 2 subs online. I showed up for pick up about 30 minutes from the time I ordered. There was a customer waiting for his online order that they were scrambling to try to put together. Finally the employee asked my name, I tell him and he looks me dead in the face and says it will just be like 2 more minutes. He walks over and starts taking orders from customers in line and making their subs. About 15 minutes later I walked to the counter and asked a female employee where my food was (knowing they had not even started it). Her answer was its getting wrapped now. When the first employee I spoke to heard me ask her then he started to make my subs which is now 50 minute from the time I placed my order. Moral of the story, dont lie to your customers. You forgot my order....twice. Be honest and say we will get right to it and make it right and sorry about the inconvenience. Im ok with truth. You disregarded my order twice and failed to value my time even when you realized my order was missed. Every person that was in line got their food before someone that ordered. 45-50 before online. I thought that was the benefit of ordering and paying online. To save time. The subs themselves were good but the service and lack of honest communication will keep me from ordering at this location again.

This was my husband and I’s first time ever having Jersey Mikes. My brother loves their food, and upon his recommendation, we decided to try it finally. I had the chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak, and my husband had the regular Philly cheesesteak. They were delicious! Everything had great flavor, and the ingredients were fresh! I walked into Hanover’s Jersey Mike’s with a friend today. I have never been in to this place before.
I was more than impressed! We were greeted as we stepped into the door. The entire staff was cheerful, helpful, and patient with our questions.
The food was first rate … totally delicious! It was well prepared, with exceptionally generous portions, and the entire establishment was pristine clean.

Wife and I both agree the food is better than subway, but it’s nearly twice as much $$$. A little upsetting a “regular” sized sub is only half a sub at $10. So you have to pay $16 for a giant size which is technically their version of a full size sub. We both got 2 giant subs with a drink and chips and it was over $40. It was absurd. Although the subs were good it will be hard to justify a good time to return. Service was OK.

I just want to give a huge THANK YOU! to the manager that stood up for my husband and 2 year old daughter today. I just came home from a long day at work and my husband was happy to regale me with the story.
My husband likes to take our 2 year old daughter out every week to Jersey Mikes while I take one day to work (normally it is just me and her while my husband works). My daughter loves Jersey Mikes - she loves the food and she loves the attention she gets from all the staff and customers. Apparently today a woman asked my husband to be quiet while he was on one such outing with my daughter. The manager overheard and told the woman to leave the store. I cannot thank the manger enough for his kindness toward my husband and daughter. I know toddlers can be loud and annoying sometimes but being a toddler parent is also sometimes the hardest! Small acts of kindness are everything. So thank you. Thank you for sticking up for my young, innocent, sweet girl. Thank you from this very tired Mama’s heart. You have my business for life! ( even if I’m not a sub girl ;)

This is truly a good sub spot! I was welcomed upon entry, asked how my day was, they were patient while I decided what I wanted.

Food took about 5-6min to come out, hand delivered to my table. I was greeted with smiles and positive emotions. (I was the only one in the store)

The food was hot and fresh. I got a regular size cheesesteak. It was not cut in half.

I was here on 5-13-23, 4:00 on a rainy Saturday. There wasn’t anybody sitting at any of the six tables and only one couple ahead of me ordering two subs. There were three young ladies working taking orders and making subs, and one young man at the cash register. As I looked around the place waiting for my food, I noticed food and napkins under every table, and five out of the six tables were dirty. I also noticed the counter from the sub making area through the cashier area was dirty as well. If they were busy, but aren’t now and with four people working, why isn’t the place clean? If somebody wanted to sit down and eat, there was only one clean table out of six. The bathroom was equally dirty and the floor was sticky. This seems to be the way of Jersey Mike’s in Hanover and Gettysburg. Having worked in the food service industry for many many years, it’s clear that these young people need an adult on site and training on why and how to keep a restaurant clean. Sub was excellent!

The Roast Beef sub was good but the friendly atmosphere was not there. They look like that you ruined their Lives and especially they were not lively happy people. I never felt so odd being in a Sub Place. I really wanted a nice fresh cup of Pepsi and what I got was a very stale Pepsi and we told them.. hey can you fix the Pepsi and they told someone but they never got to it and we waited patiently..you know for what we bought. Horrible service. Ordered two subs, they barely wrote them down. Didn’t make my sub (which was a cold one) and started making the hot sub. That was incorrect as we were given a wheat wrap and peppers and onions on it when it was specifically stated no peppers and onions. The cold sub wasn’t made until we mentioned it again and the hot sub was made three times incorrectly. Finally we just gave up and ate. Associates were able to goof off and one was able to run on the floor twice to get a drink from the fountain. No respect and frankly the staff just gives off a rude vibe. Never in my years working would I be so abrasive and silly with customers’ orders. Do not recommend this place! I suggest some mandatory customer service training on how to treat the paying customer with respect.

Placed a mobile order tonight for pickup, as I got a sub from here last night that was phenomenal, and the wife now wanted one. Sadly the sub tonight was very subpar compared to yesterday. We ordered the rosemary parmesean bread for both of our subs, one had the bread, the other was plain white. We also ordered pickles on the sub, but werd disappointed to only find 3 slices of pickle on the entire giant sub and hardly any lettuce. Consistency is key for a place like this, and sadly the subpar experience tonight far outweighs the good experience that we experienced yesterday.

Not only did the 5 people working take 20 minutes to make one sub for the people before us but they ran out of lettuce for that customer because the kid working was stoned out of his mind and put ten gallons of lettuce on the 3 subs he made while I was there before they realized they didn’t even start the first customers order. The employees aside from the one red headed gal in the back actually working, appeared to be stoned. After 20 minutes waiting for my sub the one thing I asked for was hot relish and they added sweet peppers. If these people want 15 dollars to make sandwiches maybe they could try it sober. Absolutely pathetic

Very friendly staff. I think we had more fun ordering than eating and that says a lot since this place definately makes a really good sandwich. Sandwiches are my favorite genre of food so for me to say really good I mean REALLY really good.

Terrible. When this place 1st opened it was OK, but has not improved. Take out on line was supposed to be 15 mins, gave it 25-30 mins and order still wasn't done. Italian sandwich was drenched in dressing and too much salt to the point where the taste was awful and had to throw the sandwich out. Wife's sandwich was not supposed to have dressing and it tasted like some dressing from my sandwich leading me to believe that they used the same knife from my sandwich on her food instead of cleaning it or using a different knife. Spent the money for double meat and got less than what a normal sandwich would get if wouldn't have ordered the double meat. This is the 5th time I've been there and the floor behind the counter is always covered in lettuce and employees are stepping all over the mess. It's as if no one takes the time to occasionally sweep the mess up . In the end we threw out both sandwiches after spending over $40.00 and had to get take out elsewhere. I've been to Jersey Mike's out in N.J./N.Y. area and have never had a terrible experience like this place in Hanover, PA had provided. I will not go back to the Hanover Jersey Mike's in PA.

They make good sandwiches but cannot follow directions. I have reflux so I ordered a sandwich without peppers or onions. Got home and took a bite and I’ll be sick all night. Check your food before you leave.

I keep reading the reviews and never once read where any of these people have had a management adult on-site to complain to. These young people need trained and supervised . You don’t open a store and leave teens to there own devices. My friend was in here twice and the first time the young lady was swamped, one girl. begged two male employees one real short hair and glasses the other he can’t describe. They said it wasn’t their time to start. She asked again And they looked at their watch again saying they weren’t on the clock. If an adult was in the room they would have been asked to start to work and they would legally had to have been paid. My friend tried this store again and it was worse. Corporate stop telling people to contact the partner this is your brand and it’s going down quick in the region

On 9/16/22 I went into Hanover location got a bottle of Diet Pepsi stood in the area where you place your order no one took my order stood there 10 minutes this is the second time at this store the young men both times were doing nothing the first time I placed an order this time I just left the people in this store are the worst they could care less don’t waste your time going there drove twenty two miles round trip what a joke

The giant #2’s were so sloppily and loosely wrapped that oil and vinegar was running out of the end all over the car seat on the drive home, leaving a stain. I could see the sub sticking out of the end of the wrapping. Never saw anything like that before. Fortunately, they were delicious as always.

Food is great, prices are insanely expensive, if you don't get your sandwich "Mike's Way" everything suddenly becomes an extra cost. The staff can't seem to remember anything you tell them, they screw up even the simplest order and it takes them FOREVER to make one simple sub. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES IN LINE FOR TWO TURKEY SUBS IS OUTRAGEOUS. (No two subs should ever cost $37)

I ordered giant Philly cheese steak. It took 23 minutes for order to be filled.
Steak was burnt and tasted bitter.
The bun was less than average.
There were very little onion.
We will never go back to Jersey Mike's again.

Stopped in here last weekend expecting it to be as disorganized as the Gettysburg location. Was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and speed of at least them gentleman on the slicer. He was directing the crew, running the slicer and building the sub, and keeping things flowing at a quick and steady pace. Our subs were good and while the grumblings of the crew about actually having to work was slightly disconcerting, was an overall good experience. Kudos at least to the person running the show that day.

I love Jersey Mike's. I have for years, but my experience has been the Outer Banks and the York, PA locations.

This location is strange. I swear the subs are just a bit smaller. And, unfriendly workers.

But the thing that really gets me after two visits is the absolutely horrendous customer service. It's terrible. No smiling faces, no friendliness, no interest whatsoever in giving me the customer even a modicum of respect. They will talk to one another and seem to be either enjoying each other's company or they're annoyed by a co-worker but that annoyance doesn't come close to how annoyed they seem to be by me and my order for simply 2 regular subs.

It's probably worth the gas to drive to the York location where I am not made to feel like I'm the worst part of these people's day.

JM's was very very busy when we ordered so I can understand that you don't get the best service or product when you visit during these times.

However, if you want a GOOD cheese steak DON'T come here. You'll be disappointed if you've never tried JM's before. 1st off, Jersey Mike's will not put lettuce and tomato, mayo or ANY condiments on a cheese steak sub. There are no online options. EVEN IF you state in the notes that you want condiments on your sub it's simply ignored.
NOW... About the Cheese Steak:
"WHERE'S THE BEEF?" -that little old lady from the 1983 Wendy's commercial-
Well that's exactly how I felt when I unwrapped my sub. It weighed a little more than an empty roll. I counted 11 very small slivers of steak on the whole sub. All the rest were caramelized onions, and green/red pepper that was flavored with what tasted like worcestershire/soy sauce mixed. It was a colossal rip off. There is no excuse for this. That is sorry, and it's a shame. The little bit that was there did actually taste good.
My wife ordered the Italian sub which was mostly composed of lettuce, onion and a little tomato. With just a slight hint of oil and vinegar. Barely any meat on it. I looked for the cheese but didn't find any?! The whole experience took roughly 1 hour from ordering online to driving there and standing for approximately 28 minutes after arriving waiting for our food. There were 12 people working. OH... If you want your sub toasted, they do NOT toast subs here. Period. At all. Not sure why people rave over JM's but it's not our speed. We won't be going again. That's a shame because I really wanted to like it. 😣

I’ve always heard of this place but never actually been to a Jersey Mikes. If it wasn’t for the coupon that I stumbled across one day on my windshield I would have never tried it out. I’m very pleased with the service and food!! Nothing but great vibes and good food. Would definitely recommend and will be coming for lunch!! 😊
