We went here as a stopover on a road trip. The man working the counter was so genuinely friendly. He offered to make our children items that weren’t even on the menu, and gave us great recommendations of where to go around the town. While I don’t remember his name, I certainly will remember his hospitality and how nice he was. In addition, the food was so good! Everything tasted really fresh and if we’re ever back in Erie again we will be stopping in again.

My partner and I went there for breakfast recently. A-MA-ZING! The omlettes were huge. Served fresh and flavorful! This is an absolute gem of a place that is worth a look! We had gone the for the first time a week ago for lunch and it was also a fantastic experience! The salad bar items were plentiful and fresha and the entire place was immaculate! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Their recent rebrand and move has made it hard not to stop there for lunch every single day (not that it would be a bad thing if I did... my wallet would just hate me for that I think). I am a member of Radius CoWork, and they used to be right downstairs before they moved, so I've known and loved Francos for years now. Their new spot is even MORE convenient and I absolutely love the aesthetics of the new space and brand. A couple friends of mine (local entrepreneurs) are the masterminds behind the rebrand, and lets just say I'm super proud of their work and wish I had played a part in it being a marketing professional myself... so yes, it's GOOD. They have a great selection of food.. my favorite being the club sammie. I am a club sandwich fanatic. Their salad bar is HUGE and they always have hot, fresh soups to choose from as well. The owners are so nice and hospitable. Really puts the icing on the cake. I think a nice neighborly staff makes all the difference in a business, especially a restaurant. Overall, incredible vibes all around. 11/10 must try. If you haven't checked it out yet, I'm honestly not sure what you're waiting for.

Edited 3/19/2026: If I could offer them 6 out of 5 stars I would, especially after visiting their newly-opened spot at 416 State Street. The new space is smartly appointed and designed for complete convenience. Fresh food abounds, and the service I received was top tier. Keep up the good work Franco's!

Franco's has the best salad bar in downtown Erie and their chicken chili is the perfect fix for a cold day. Everything is quickly made to order and the owner is typically the one cashing you out. What a great spot.

We went for lunch time (around 1230) and the place was almost full, with only 1 table left. There was no line to order. My friend ordered the veggie wrap (with no spinach) and I got the salad bar with steak. I was thrilled with the options for toppings and dressings. My salad creation was delicious. I also tried the chicken salad that was on the salad bar, which was delicious. I will have to try a chicken salad croissant next time. The mural, painted by Ceasar Westbrook, sets a great vibe for this fresh lunch spot! I will definitely be back!

Excellent. We were looking for a place to get breakfast after a “procedure” and found this place with a Google search. Hands down, the best vegetable omelette I’ve ever had.
